- Consumption and Asset Data: Structural utility metrics, water/resource consumption readings, historical trends, and meter technical IDs.
- Usage and Diagnostic Information: In-app interactions, loading speed metrics, performance crash logs, and diagnostic telemetry.
2. How We Use Information
Collected data is processed to deliver, secure, and improve the portal interface, specifically to:
- Visualize clear consumption trends, historical charts, and resource statistics;
- Deliver real-time automated system alerts, operational notifications, and maintenance warnings;
- Identify and troubleshoot software application bugs or connection anomalies;
- Maintain baseline cloud framework security, preventing unauthorized profile accesses.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not monetize or sell your personal information. Data visibility is shared strictly with:
- Your primary contracting Municipality and Utility Provider for infrastructural billing and customer service alignment;
- Authorized secure cloud hosting providers and operational telemetry processors;
- Regulatory or judicial bodies where explicitly required under applicable laws.
4. Data Retention
Information is kept active within the platform systems only as long as required to fulfill contract services, satisfy active regulatory auditing compliance timelines, or operational maintenance scopes authorized by your utility provider.
5. Security
We maintain strict administrative, technical, and organizational security protocols to protect user profiles against unauthorized modification, disclosure, deletion, or access.
6. User Rights
Depending on geographical location and regional privacy statutes, end-users may possess legal rights to request access to their profile data, request corrections to erroneous fields, or object to specific processing channels via their contracting utility company.
7. Platform Permissions
The mobile application may require standard native system access privileges, including:
- Internet Access: To fetch the latest consumption datasets from the cloud-based MDMS architecture.
- Push Notifications: To instantly broadcast critical warnings, abnormal consumption updates, and utility announcements.
8. Children’s Privacy
The BrightCity Customer Portal is designed exclusively for adult account holders, tenants, and verified property stewards. It does not intentionally target, collect, or process information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to periodically modify this Privacy Policy to reflect evolving software versions, infrastructure security steps, or changing compliance landscapes.
